It's important to remember that things that sound too good to be true usually are. Any classic car will require work. and work=money.
If you're ready to accept a project then go for it. Make sure you get the title though. I've seen some people come up with outrageous stories to explain why they don't have a title. Be careful

I talked to my friend about the 67 chevy, he's gotta get the title from his dad(previously owned the car). I'm going to have a look at it and i'm going to take along a mechanic whos a friend of mine who will give me the low down.

I dont care about work, work is fun sometimes especially when the work involves old cars/trucks.

true that. good idea on the inspection, the price is a little funny, but if everything checks out, and you like it, go for it.
