Going on Training in Toronto...

The good folks at BMW Canada, in association with the dealership I work for, are sending me to Toronto for three days for electrical training! I'm very excited about it, I've never been "sent on training" before. Its only 3 days though...

If you get 8 hours off, you can come down to here and go back to Toronto ...

Congrats though, sounds fun.

Haha, he'd only need about 4 to come out here (maybe alittle more with the snow we FINALLY got lol)

Anyways, good luck with the training. Also hope you enjoy Toronto (I know I don't)

Actually, its in Whitby, wherever that is. I've been to Toronto before, not a huge fan. Though I may visit my uncle who lives there.

BTW, for anyone who doesn't know Canada very well, its not a short drive, its a 5 hour flight

i had a chance like that, i went through this apprenticeship recruitment centre who patched me up with Volvo, volvo would send me to somewhere around the birmingham (UK) area to train for 3 months every year, i was all set to go when my family moved house, i gave all contact details and was told they will call, never did, i phoned, position was filled in already, i wasnt happy!

Congrats man, enjoy T-Dot. I hated it, but that might because I was stuck behind international customs lines for 10 hours in the airport, and there is **** ALL to do in that area.

On that note, I have an opportunity to get a job with the Dilawri Group(biggest dealership group in my city, guy owns life half the dealerships) as a Junior Sales rep(gotta start somewhere).

Oh dear......oh well, it was only Volvo! I was sent to Bristol once every 3 or 4 months to college when I was an Apprentice. I was there for 2-weeks at a time.

Damn, Whitby is even closer to where I live than Toronto is (about an hour drive). I'll actually be going to the Whiby Durham College campus in february for part of my automotive apprenticeship (the in school part)..

Thanks! There's a lot of "pre-course" studying up to do, and I'm a little nervous. Plus my cable modem died two days ago (which is why I haven't been at CF), and I had to get a new one. All of the course materials are online . So now I'm in a bit of a rush...
