Bought my first car!

So I haven't been a very active member lately, lots of work and a lot of research. Work has been kicking my butt, but I like it thus far and it helps to pay for things... like a new car!

So after months of looking I knew what I could afford with a wedding and such in my near future and went into the car market 95% sure I wanted a car and not another SUV. Don't get me wrong, I love my Jeep, but she is pushing 12 years now and little things bug me, like intermediate wipers not working.

So I decided to look at new cars, the list was huge and I was very picky. The down side of being 6’6” is that narrows a lot of the field. Most foreign cars I looked at from Acura and Nissan were not practical, I wasn’t comfortable. I narrowed the list a lot and ended up buying an import. So if you have read thus far, congrats, I bought a new 2006 Pontiac GTO.

Got a great deal as the dealerships want to sell them and it was perfect for what I was looking for. Good resale value, sporty, I like the looks, LS2… and I almost got the Brazen Orange, but the Phantom Black I couldn’t pass up.

Here are some of the first pics:
(Oh yeah, It was a nice rainy day here too, sorry bout the poor quality pics )

The only thing I plan on doing to it (for those that might ask) is removing the front licence plate, and the dealership sticker from the rear.

Yeah, I can see why. Is it the manual or automatic?

six speed manual. 18" wheels, those were pretty much the only two options besides color you could get

Thanks guys, I loved driving it to work this morning, nice open roads, but still kept her under 65... but very tempted.

LOL yeah, everyone at ls2gto.com says they upgrade quickly, personaly the stock rumble is nice, we shall see.

Also though about a HID 11 upgrade, but I will settle for making car payments for now.

Ehh, unless you find a deal, try to stay away from anything SLP. Good products, but way overpriced as you'll see. Flowmasters have been shown to actually reduce HP, although they do sound quite nice!

She is pretty though. Care to tell what you paid?
