Question cmeseadoin

Was the Richmond Auto Show worth going to?

I woke up early Sunday to get down there, but didn't think it would be worth the trip. Keep in mind, I live about two hours from the show.

What cars did they have that really stuck out?

Richmond Auto Show

I'm not so sure it would have been worth driving two hours to come and see. There were quite a few vehicles there, but the problem I had was that they were all mainstream ones. They did not have the 05' Mustang nor anything really "non-production/concept" that I would have like to have seen. It was ok, about the same as last year if you made it up for that one. Mostly, all your typical vehicles manufactured by GM, Ford, Honda, Toyota, Subaru, BMW, Saturn(GM), etc. Nothing too special. I live 20 minutes from downtoawn so it was worth that and the 8 bucks to get in for me. If you are into Mustangs, there were about 12-15 in the hall of the Convention Center that were classics like the Boss 302, Mach 1, etc. It was pretty cool!

Oh about the cars that stuck out.......well, they had an '04 Subaru STI......two '04 Masseratis and one Ferrari. They had the new '04 Cadillac XLR Sports car which is basically a Corvette platform with different lines and interior. It screams Vette when you looked at it. The Masseratis and Ferrari were roped off and you could not get but so close. Honestly though, I focused more on the others because personally, the amount of money vs. the performance you get for it does not impress me. The '04 GTO was there of course and as for performance, that is about it. Nothing spectacular but hey, it was some cheap entertainment!
