The S4 is more aerodynamic and has better brakes and suspension, along with a slight retune of the V8 engine. Good for 175+ mph in stock form, and nearly bulletproof. Vastly faster and quicker AND nimbler than the 8 series (which was avaialble with a V12 throughout it's run. You just have to look for an 850 instead of an 840). But I keep eying the 928s myself (as the '85-88 years can be had around $10k or less in nice shape) and don't want to suggest something I'm already wanting.

The 8 series will not be as rewarding to drive as the M3. No, the M3 doesn't have a V8 (though for your cash, you could build a nice LS1 powered 3 series coupe that looks teh same but goes VARY fast), but the M3 is much more of a driver's car. the 8 series was for profiling on the boulevard and showing up in front of fancy restaurants...

I have to comment on the Torino thing. My first musclecar was a '71 Torino GT w/429. Excellent car and a lot of fun, even though it was pretty big for it's time (though, at 3700 lbs, it's not really any heavier than the new Mitsubishi Eclipse). I've had good luck with all my Fords over the years, from teh Torino, to my first Comet, to my Pinto race car, to my '70 Mustangs, to my Ranger to my SVT Contour.

Thanks, I totally agree about the 8 series, that was what I was getting at.

I like the idea of the 928 too, and some PLEASE tell me if Tony Montana had one in Scarface, damnit. Its not like none of you have seen that movie!!

That movie is sick. If you have seen the old one and liked it, you'll dig the new one.

Heh, War of The Worlds was originally a story told over radio in 1938. People actually thought it was a real new broadcast and were going crazy. Since then it has been made into movies.

Actually, genius, War of the Worlds was ORIGINALLY a novel written in 1898 by H. G. Wells.

And I liked the movie, but was quite dissapointed, as it could have been so much more. Speilberg had the characters and the story down, but he just didn't close the deal. 7/10.
