Zetec.

I don't know if the US got the Escorts that we know e.g. RS2000, etc.

Did the US get the legendary Cosworth Sierras ?

We get the Zetec engine series in the Focus, but we never got the Euro Escorts (or ANY of the older RWD Escorts...), including the Escort Cosworth (except through private importers, like Sun INternational). That's the only way we got any Cosworth Sierras, to. the only Sierra we got was the turbo 2.3 liter SOHC XR4Ti, sold under the less than successful Merkur brand.

Didn't you guys get a V8 engined Sierra or some sort...I know there's a few out there....but wasn't sure if they were kits you could buy...ie; the V8 RWD Focus that was gonna be made

No, the V8 Sierras were all in South Africa. But, it'd be a pretty simple conversion (though the guys here in the States tend to build up the turbo 4s to pretty good power levels, even without the Cosworth bits...)

I see.....It's like that over here, with the 4's (Even the 6cyl AWD in most cases)....some of our Cossies run up to the 800bhp mark.....I've never driven one that powerfull, but I'd imagine that if the standard Cosworth is rapid...an 800bhp ome would be a rocket ship

Tauras

Boy you guys can be down right mean. Remind me to never piss ya off. I have a tauras issue that I need to find a wiring schematic for it. I have to rewire it so I can sell it to get it out of my yard. I agree they are not the fastes cars in the world for sure. but, they are comfortable. So someone help me so I can get it out of my yard. And back to the imports I love so. Mary
