Paddle shifting car for under 12k?

Alright I love the idea of BMW's SMG transmission. Being able to cruise in automatic and then still have the ability to choose gears sounds nice. Are there any cars with similar transmissions for under 12k?

So do you want a paddle-shifted manual or a manumatic?

Anyway, its an automatic with paddle shift...ITS NOT THE SAME. Its a whole different kind of transmission.

See this thread:

I don't care if it's automatic or manual really. I'll probably be using the paddles most of the time anyway.Having the automatic would be nice when I get lazy though.

Lots of people are...I wouldn't be surprised if true manuals go the way of non-power assisted steering pretty soon lol :ohcra:

Why waste your money on that? The trans is still gonna shift itself slow as any other slushbox auto anyhow.

Word.

And generally, a manual transmission with paddle shifting is considered "high tech" and is usually sold for pricy sports cars, like the m5.
