hmmm 60 hp, thats a lot. Minis are what. maybe 37hp? they'll do 130 k's.

Iver read that Fiat 500 (bambina's or similar i think they are also called) can only safely do 50 kmp/h so that is pretty slow. Back in the late 40's early 50's whenever they were made

Slowest NEW production car, I would put my money on the smart car.. or the old style beetles that they make in Mexico, that we aren't allowed to import anymore

Yeah, people still drive those beetles in Mexico, I also have been in an old stle beetle taxi when I was there. Those old styles have 45hp and do 0-60m acceleration in 27.2 sec. Is tha too slow and why they don't want them in the U.S.

They still MAKE them in Mexico. They don't want them in the U.S. because they're identical to the old ones in every possible way. Still carbureted, no seat belts, won't pass mondern day saftey requirements, and they're just loud.

After playing a little Gran Turismo, I've discovered the 1970 Honda Z Act is probably the slowest car. The reason: a 30 horsepower engine that revs to 8500 rpms. That little power and extraordinary amount of engine speed make it slower than a 1950's Beetle with 24 horsepower. If you have Gran Turismo 4, try the car out, it is as slow as hell.

the Ford Model T was not neccessarily the first car. It was only the first MASS-PRODUCED car.
