The tach shows the RPMs. The spedometer shows the speed.

Yeah, but I don't think I would have felt it. We nearly hit an eagle that was eating something on the road (prob a roo or something). The crows get outta the way really quick, but this eagle started flying low and slow in the same direction that we were travelling, just at the last minute before we ran up his arse, he went up a bit and over the top of the car. (we weren't doing 200 at this stage, that was only on 1 long straight stretch, but the cruise was set at about 160 most of the way)

When a Northern Territory 53 metre (58 yards) road train hits a buff at high speed, the buff comes out minced meat

I hit a parrot while doing 100mph and the bugger caved my metal front grille into the radiator.

Of course roo's are the road kill of choice here and they don't leave much of a car either.

LOL...The only commonly hit animal here (that writes the average car off) is the Deer. I've hit numerous other animals, just the other day a bird flew into my windscreen and bounced off. I've hit the odd Badger here and there....they have massive heads lol, I once dragged one along the floor only leaving it behind when I released the brakes ...I'm a sick man, not as sick as the missus though...she wanted to take pictures ...Foxes often see the chassis of my cars too, and rabbits, well, they just watch you hurtling towards them

Haven't had the chance to see how fast the vette will go. Last summer I rode my 1999 honda super hawk v-twin to 176mph. 6th gear @ 9800rpm. This is corrected top speed after 15% speedo error was taken in to consideration

Mods:
.30 over forged HRC pistons
HRC spec 2 race cams
Full 2Brothers titanium exhaust
58mm Kiehn slide bore carbs w individual k&n filters and stage 5 jetting
HRc hydraulic slipper clutch& clutch pack
Added 1 tooth to front sprocket Dropped 2 from rear (seemed a good gear balance at the time)
Performance Machine three spoke billet race wheels w Dunlop d-207's
Brembo 6 piston front brakes , 2 piston rear with matched rotors
Stainless braided brake lines

Bike was a wheelie machine, think I might build a turbo'ed zx-10 next spring
