Well, I haven't gotten to many tickets, and none for speeding. But this one time I was with a friend in my car, we were speeding...very fast. Like 105( because my car won't go any faster) in a 40. Now chill out. It was 2AM, there wasn't another set of headlights for miles. But there was a car parked on the side of the road that turned out to be a cop...But instead of chasing after me, he turned on his lights for a second and just kept sitting there.

Yesterday, i was stopped a red light on the freeway on ramp, and a guy blew by me in the shoulder, and onto the freeway. I was the second car in line, and a cop was in front of me. The cop, took off after the car, without his lights or siren on. he just followed him. that's it. I got on the freeway and headed home a good 5 seconds back, but I could still see them, and the cop just followed him. That's it, then he exited at the next exit in front of me. What? He didn't bust the guy.....Oh well, if it was me, I'd feel incredibly relieved.

Never had a speeding ticket in my life but I got busted once for not making a compelete stop at a stop sign. Here in LA, cops are everywhere at all time. it wa like 3am and nobody was around so when I came to the stop sigh, I slowed down to almost a stop but wasnt a full stop (known as California stop) And same here, I saw a car parked on theside of the road and was a police car. He pulled me over and cited me not only for stopsign violation but also for the modifeid exaust(was pretty loud) and dark tinted window. I hate that damn stop sign law, is this only in California or what?

No, we have it here in New Mexico, and I am prety sure its everywhere else as well.

I have been pulled over for a stop sign violation once, went to a safe drivers school and it stayed off my record, which means lower insurance.

I got nailed for my underglow kit.. $115 i believe it was... that's probably the most retarded ticket I've ever gotten, got a handful of parking tickets but they're only $15 a piece if you pay them within two weeks or something, they'd be next in line. Radar detector has saved me numorous times from getting nailed for speeding, so I've never been hit with that.

Radar detcectors aren't legal in all states, you will have to check your local laws to know if it is legal where you are.

they are about 100-300 dollars, they simply detect the police radar guns and begin beeping to tell you they are close to you , then you slow down

100-300? Where do you shop? Wal-Mart? They range between about 75-1000. I got a mid grade one, Escort 8500. Put me down a little under $400, since one of my buds works at an electronics store. There's much, much more expensive ones out there, though. My cousin put out $800 in his, and still not top of the line., I'm just not willing to spend that much. To my knowledge, jammers are legal here too.

They don't always work, though, especially with the lasers. On my way to a metallica concert, a cop was within 1/2km before the dectector picked it up, and we were goin' a good 140kph to get there, the cop was on the other side of the divided highway though, so it was all good. (this was all with my cousins detector, since he came with us, so just goes to show you can't even depend fully on the high-dollar ones, though it saved us two or three times on the way...)
