Assuming this is your first year driving, even the cheapest liability insurance will cost you over 1g a year. I would say between $1500-$2000 for liability and $2500-$3000 fir full coverage depending on the insurance company. i can't tell you which company will give you the cheapest rate...it depends on where you live. You have to do the research for yourself. ...Oh yeah if you have a high GPA they might give you some discount...which never was the case with me

He is only 16, first time driver. there is no way he can get it for around 1 g a year. even if its just reliability. if he can, shit let me know what insurance company gives out insurance for 1g a year.

Hmm that's a good question...I was wondering about that too. Because I wanna put a body kit on my stang, but if someone crashes it then I don't know if the insurance company will buy me another kit. because if they don't, I'm not gonna buy it...

I know it would be a little more for a Taurus SHO over my Accord. But when I first started driving the Accord at 16 it was only $502/6 months. Making that $1004/year.

Since I will be first driver I will be driving my mom's car . Well it will be under her name so I will not have to pay a lot insurance. She drives in US for 12 years with no accident.

in the US it will depend on the car(sports car, suv, sedan) and also the age and sex of the driver( with 16 year old males having the highest)

In california, the age doesn't matter. It's about how long you've had your license for. Means that a 16 year old boy who just got a lisence would have the same rate as a 40 year old man who just got one also.

lez see.....I'm 17, got my car when i was 16 (1990 ford taurus GL), and even with the dedcutible raised up and only liability on my car, it came to a $200 raise on my parents bill. I have to pay for 100 of that. And this is with a 4.0 GPA, a perfect driving record, and a 15 year old car.

Not in this state, males and females have the same rate.

Its not that they think guys are worse drivers...its that they think we take more risks, speed more, do stupider stuff then girls.
