I live in Canada and would like to get a BMW M3 when I'm older, and I was just checking out prices here in Canada and comparing them to prices in the US. Here is what I found:
USA: MSRP $60,943 CAD (converted from $46,500 USD)
CAN: MSRP $73,950 CAD
That's 13 grand saved if the car is bought from the States rather than here in Canada!!
Why is that?? Is there a catch? (ex: would taxes, duties, etc bring up the price a lot?) Are there any other restrictions? The reason I am asking is because first of all, a lot of money can be saved if I buy from across the border, and second; I always thought/have heard that cars are generally cheaper priced here in Canada.
If you guys can help me out and let me know if I am missing something, then that would be greatly appreciated! If not, then I'm looking forward to saving quite a bit of money
