I give up, I'll play your silly game. What the hell are you talking about? Are you asking about cars I presently own, have owned in the past or cars I have restored/modified/built for friends and customers? Why is it anyones business how much money I put into my cars? What is the point of your question?

It's a 4.6L, V8 that puts out 300hp. Exactly how big do you expect in a modern car?

maybe he wants the 6.4L mod motor that is in the new Cobra Concept

Inspired by the biggest, baddest Cobra of all – the renowned 427 – Ford engineers created a new aluminum-block V-10 to power the Ford Shelby Cobra concept. This 6.4-liter engine, adapted from Ford’s MOD family, delivers the rush of raw power associated with that big 1960s V-8 monster – with 605 horsepower and 501 foot-pounds of torque – without the aid of supercharging or turbocharging.

Gosh vwhobo, I hope you don't talk to your customers the same way if they have a question they want to ask you! Just take a chill pill and calm down! I'm just trying to say firstly, there are a hell of alot more VW beetles (new shape and old) than there are Mustangs. Secondly, I just wanted to know how much it would cost to fix up or tune a beetle to get the same all round performance as the new Mustang. Now is that anything to have tantrum over?

Firstly, you are not a customer. What you are is someone who comes in and asks ambiguous questions. Then when I ask clarifying questions to better understand what you're after you accuse me of having a tantrum.

If you have something to say, then say it (you didn't in the previous post). If you have something to ask, then ask it. Just don't waste my time with your blathering.

Only for those who wish to spend a lot more for not much more "performance." (in regard to SL55 vs. M5 performance and pricing)

Ok vwhobo, I bring you just the shell of a 1965 VW Beetle. With just the shell what would be your estimate to build it back up to have the same all-round performance of the 2005 Mustang and money is no object! Ok is that clear enough for you?

If I'm wasting your time then you take things way to seriously! I'm on here for fun (like it should be!)

1. You don't meet the required standards to be one of my customers but I'll play along.

2. Only a fool would think that I could take a car with what is essentially a 60 year old design and build it into a car that has "the same all-round performance of the 2005 Mustang". I'm very good but don't have the engineering resources of FoMoCo. To come even close there would be essentially nothing left of the original car.

3. This is where your little exercise collapses and shows how little you know. Money is ALWAYS an object. If it truly isn't then my answer would be "I'll let you know when I'm finished". I've built many "blank check" cars in my day but there's always a ceiling.

One last thing off of this topic. I just checked all of your posts to date. Apparently your idea of having fun is annoying people because that is the pattern shown in your posts. If you want to be a useful member of this community, why not try to help someone with useful information for a change?

Well to begin with. I did not start any of this, I just made a comment about how much I like the new Mustang and I get jumped about it. So all I was doing is just defending myself. So I think you should look into your actions because every comment I have made is after something you have said. So if you can't respect what someone else has said then maybe you should stick to just answering peoples car problems.
