now that I think about it, how much horsepower do you think that 'Vette lost from the engine to the rear wheels?

I have no idea, but i wonder if it could still do a pretty nice burnout or still be able to peel off.

Haha, i like how you think . Imagine pulling up to grad (or your wedding) in a Corvette limo, doing it at grad would get attention drawn to you.

Still, even though the diff's farther away, it shouldn't lose that much power. Maybe 25%, tops. And even then, it'll still have what....300 hp? lol Plus with the lower amount of weight over the real wheels, it could definitely burnout with ease.

Looking for hp gains on both, aftermarket body parts for the BMW. Hit me up if you got anything and maybe we can work something out.

diff being farther away shouldn't affect it .... except for a few extra bearings, joints etc... and I'd have thought 25% loss in the drivetrain would be a bit extreme.

yeah, 25% is pretty doomfull, I was under the impression that a car lost about 13-15%from the crank to the wheels.

The RX7 limo must have a very uncomfortable ride and the handling must suck!

IIRC, those are the all wheel drive RS versions of the Beetle. You can get a street version from VW, too, called the "cup edition" it's the 1.8 turbo and AWD, and can be very fast.

I had wanted to do this stretch limo idea with an original Beetle.

That pic is kinda funny looking, seeing that many Beetles at one time coming at you. And ChrisV, you could still do the limo thing with an original beetle but do other things with it that havent been done, like maybe make the limo but chop the top, or make it convertible, lambo doors, or maybe chop the top AND add lambo doors and maybe some air ride if you really wanted to lol. You seem pretty creative, i bet you could figure something out.

Am I the only one that finds it ironic that turbolag is trashing these modified vehicles... and yet has that poor butchered Eclipse in his/her signature?

Does anybody else think that the Corvette, and the RX-7 are done by Photoshop? Because I don't think you could really go anywhere in a 50-ish foot Vette...
