I think the term 'best drivers car' doesnt mean it has to be fast or handle exceptionally, the best car for me was a 1983 buick lesabre. So comfortable and roomy, now that in my opinion is a drivers car.

Remember, we're not thinking just of how comfy the BACK seat is, gotta think of the WHOLE car

Think of a 980hp tank...not exactly the essence of handling and driving bliss

I'd take the Lotus Elise, Porsche 911 GT3, 3rd Gen Mazda RX7, or Ferrari F40
now we're talkin'.

I still think that the RS200 EVO would be one of the most fun cars out there to drive

SIMULATION:
-sit in the red cloth super bolstered racing seat
-insert key
-start the 1.3-bar-having-turbo-wielding-1.8-liter-Midship-mounted-600hp-engine
-depress the clutch and select first gear
-gas the shit out of it
-wait 3.06 seconds to hit 60mph
-wait another 3.84 seconds and you'll be going 100mph
-wait a total of 10.9 seconds and youll have covered a quarter mile.
-stop using the 13inch rotors and four calipers per rotor
-look at the deuchbag driving a corvette/camaro/M3/Ferrari next to you at the stoplight
-hit on his girlfriend
-Gas it when you see green
-wave to the speck in your rearview mirror
-at the next light ask the Deuchbags girlfriend if she wants a ride in a real car.
-make love with her like a rabbit that just got out of prison.

now doesn't that sound like fun?

Best "Drivers Car"???

IMHO, it has to be the Skyline GTS-4. I used to own one. 2.0L I-6 Turbo (RB20DET), AWD, and handles like a Skyline GTR. Loads of fun to drive hard on the twisties and equally fun to drift. It "crab-walks" like no one's business and can do "snow-nuts" the same. Easy to drive for even a novice driver and even easier to learn to drive a manual. For my $5000, it's the Skyline GTS-4!!

the best drivers car is one that you build. the more you put into a car the more it becomes comfortable to you. so i say its each to your own. like me i built a 69 chevy nova and i feel that is the "drivers car".

I mean what the hell is this...Caddy's, Lincoln's and LTD's? Those are NOT driver's cars...you cannot take those to a canyon road and have an amazing time...those are road trip cars...they are comfy, roomy, and the ride is forgiving...
