Ideally we need more info...What age, approximately?.....What sort of size?.....etc etc

I'll move this to the General section, seeing as it's not specificaly a Euro car you're looking for!

Edit: Judging by your post about Fords, I recon a Ford would suit you down to the ground

Get an older BMW. Maybe an early 90s or late 80s 3 or 5 series. I would take a European car over a Japanese car any day...as long as its not a French, or a Yugoslavian car

maybe a '98 or '99 vw passat. my dad almost bought one for 8k, but he didn't because it was a manual. or try to find a '00 or '01 gti, but you don't see those for under 10k very often, if so i would buy one myself.

Subaru SVX

You can pick up a subaru svx for less than 10 grand usually, its pretty fast, rare and looks pretty cool. the wheel bearings and brake rotors will probably have to be replaced though since its a H6 and was a bit heavy for the componants subaru installed. And it only comes in auto... but ive seen impreza 5 speeds fit right in, if you wanna do that kinda work

Depending on what you want to use it for, I hate to say it, being a muscle car guy from back in the day, but Toyotas are stone reliable and cheap to fix. For something sporty, maybe a Supra or Celica.
