93 vw cabrio... Won't start.

Turns over strong but does not start. Any ideas.Up until recently it ran like a champ !

It could be a dirty distributer or a bad starter

cloged fuel lines, cloged fuel filter, blockage in intake, water(or any other kind of liquid) in fuel, bad air/fuel ratio(lean or rich), bad spark plugs, plug wires, distributer, the list is endless..............good luck

yeah, I'd say fuel or spark problem.

Check for spark to narrow it down.
