Talon exhaust headers?
Im looking into getting a set of headers for my 1995 esi and am wondering if the stock heat shields will need to be put back on or not? Also i was wondering if any one has any tips to loosening those bolts on the stock system. I havent tried them yet but i dont want to break them off. thanx

Aren't headers a bit more difficult and problematic when you have a turbocharged engine?

The ESI can be turbo or N/A, FWD, or AWD. The TSI is always going to be a AWD turbo car.
Look into DC Sports for your headers.

Holy gobs of terrible information batman.
NO, an ESI is never turbocharged and always FWD. TSI only means turbocharged, you can have a FWD TSI or an AWD TSI. They typically say under the passenger rear taillights "TSI AWD" or just "TSI" (for the FWD version).
And... we are talking about a 4cyl car here... I can't let you say headerS (because there is only one header on a 4cyl motor).

The stock exhaust manifold is good on the ESi, and if you do buy a new one, you dont need to put the heat sheild on if you dont want to, my brother took his heat sheild off his ESi.

By "go right on" you must mean custom exhaust manifold, pipe routing, custom exhaust, modified fuel delivery, and custom ECU programming.
Given that the TSI and the ESI have a completely different motor and all...

Oh such poorly educated people. No, they're NOT the same engine. The ESI uses a Dodge manufactured 420A motor, the TSI uses the Mitsubishi manufactured 4G63, the two motors have almost nothing in common. They are both DOHC and they are both 2.0L motors... that's it. There isn't a single part that I'm aware of that is interchangable between the two. The 420A is nearly identicle to the motor used in the Dodge Neon of the same era. The 4G63 is the same motor used in the Evolution Lancer...
Don't try to sound like you're all smart when you're really just guessing.
