I would take the RSX type-s because it is powerful, great handling, and has Acura safety and reliability

I'm just not that wild about the RSX, great drivetrain, they just don't do anything for me... I'd go GTI, I think they're very classy looking and have a great interior. The RSX just looks like a "boy racer" car to me I guess.

The Integra kinda had that boy racer look too but the RSX is a more refined one

GTi. Its German, its safe, reliable, quick, and much better built that the RSX. You cant even really compare a German car to a Japanese car.

Most likely a new one. Why would you compare a 96 to a 05?

According to reliability you're absolutely wrong. German cars in general are built poorer than japanese cars. The GTi is one of those worse built german cars... The RSX has an excellent history on reliability. In fact of the many RSX owners I know, none have had one single problem with their RSX.

RSX-S, more refined, better handling, better powerplant....matter fact I cant think of one thing the GTi has better over an RSX-S.

RSX for me. New Volkswagon Gti costs too much for a hot hatch(20000+). Even the new Civic Type-R is 4000 cheaper and is faster. The only thing about the new Gti which catches my attention is the instant DSG gearbox.
I personally like the older Integra type-r as it looks sharper.

Yeah but no many car mess up in 2 years nowadays, and that's the oldest they could be. I'd go with the GTI

Its because they require more matinence. You have to change the oil more often in those cars than with a Japanese car. Same with Italian cars. Now of course, the Germans electronics (gauges etc.) arent going to be as good as Japanese electronics, most of those complaints are probably electrical complaints. If you were to drive a Japanese car, then drive a German car, youll feel the difference. A German car feels so much tighter than a Japanese one. Compared to a German car, a Japanese car feels like a tin can on wheels.

Red face

First off. I'd take the GTI....for many reasons......and you can't think of anything that makes a GTI better then a RSX....one thing makes it a bunch better.....VR6....then we move on to the fact that the GTI has been on the production line for twice as long as the RSX.....to me...that makes it a better choice because over years they work out Flaws. OH AND SHOW ME AN RSX WITH AN ALL WHEEL DRIVE SYSTEM AND TWIN TURBOS????
