Nice try ChrisV, but we all know what a wastegate is and what a BOV is. = One relieves pressure (potential energy), one reduces pumping (kinetic energy).

Read my first post again "or equivalent " meanihng something that bleeds off excess, regardless of which side it's on. And throught my posts I've made sure to never say "all."

It's been 95 degrees and humid as f*ck in the house for the last couple days since the A/C died (and I'm only "on the list" to get fixed) and I'm in no mood for f*cking semantics with you or anyone after that 72firebird crap.

And if we "all" know (like CarExpert), then there wouldn't be any questions asked, right?

What a wuss, 95F is only 35C. We get 42C and 80% RH for weeks on end and not much better for months on end.

Semantics has nothing to do with it, "you" know fully well the wastegate and a blow off valve are not the same principles. Once you have recovered from going troppo you will agree with me I'm sure.

poste edit:

Of course "we all know" otherwise "we" would go into a performance parts place and ask for a wastegate to reduce lag. I'm sure the counterstaff would see that as "semantics" and think nothing of it.

BOVs dont pressure regulate, thats the wastegates job.
Wally, Its not the cover gasket because I cant see it leaking out, but can it be the spark plug gaskets? I dont mean the one that is actually on the plug but the rubber one.

NOO not the freakin boot! The rubber gasket that when you take off the valve cover and turn it backwards, you can see it on all the spark plug holes. Not the fukin boot on top of the valve cover Wally, I ment the gasket you can see when you take off the valve cover.
