1995 Jeep Won't Start

I have a 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee that just would not start later in the day yesterday. I started it twice while traveling around running errands. After my last stop, I got back in my car and it would not start. I got a clicking sound from the starter and my security light and flashers were working.

I got some one to give me a jump and the car started but as soon as I let my foot off the gas peddle the car stops running. I replaced the battery and the car starts, but like with the jump, it stalls after I remove my foot from the gas peddle.

Any one have an idea of what my be going on?

Thanks... John
