If that is in fact true then I stand corrected. However I have never seen a FWD car used in a drifting event. Furthermore with well over 30 years of various types of racing, I can't see a FWD car being used to drift except on ice or dirt. Drifting a FWD car takes a relatively high speed and the drift events just don't have the room. Perhaps you can supply some pics of a FWD car drifting at an event.

As for the sarcasm, it's your choice to read the posts or not. I don't care either way.

Actually, if your FWD car has an E-brake, it is quite easy to drift. I have a video of a Beretta Z26 and a Neon SRT-4 drifting coming out of a parking lot. I would show you guys but I don't know how to get vids from my computer onto the boards..

I think we have a completely different concept of drifting. What you describe are cars with their rear brakes locked. That would be a skid or a slide. Drifting is and always has been done under power.
