Owning a DSM is like having retarded kids. You get angered and frustrated by them yet you love them to death.

My idea of a car club is probably alot different to yours....A car club as I know it is where members compare their love of a certain vehicle...a Car Club as you know it, is probably a meeting at your local McDonalds car park where by you carry out license losing donuts and drive like plebs...Or am I wrong? lol

So what you're saying is that I am not a respectable person just because I belong to multiple car clubs?

I belong to several car clubs, but here are just two: The National Monte Carlo Owners Association (NMCOA) and the Portland Grand Prix Club (PDXCGP).

The NMCOA holds an annual car show. I have yet to attend because the meets are usually back east (living on the west coast, I would have to drive damn near 2200 miles to get to a show). As a member you get a bi-monthly magazine.

The PDXCGP holds a monthly "Mod Day" on the first Saturday of every month. Mod Day is a get together to do mods or maintenance on your car. There is also a pot luck dinner, so whoever shows up brings a food or beverage item for everyone to enjoy. Even if you don't have any mods or aren't working on your car, you can help out others with their "project" for the day or just hang out and BS. Mod Day is held at any members house that volunteers to host it. PDXCGP also holds meets up at local tracks to do some bracket racing. They also go to carshows. Eventhough the club is called the Portland Grand Prix Club, you don't have to have a Grand Prix to join. There are several members that have other kinds of cars. I have a 76 Monte Carlo, another has a 60's T-Bird, a couple have 2000-newer Monte Carlo's and one has an '05 GTO. As long as you're a member, you just have to be respectful of others and have a good time.

I belong to the Milwaukee chapter of the Porsche Club of America (PCA). Our club holds a number of events each year. They might include: Autocross, autorally, concours events, tech sessions (learining about different aspects of owning and maintaining your car), driver-ed sessions at local racetracks, chili cook-off, x-mass get together, etc..... Plus we can go to other local PCA chapters and attend their events as well.

For more information on the PCA go to: Porsche Club of America

With a name like "Streetracing101" I find it hard to hold much credibility to any of you're statements.

I belong to a few clubs. We usually refer to crew, but everybody has their own take on things. We usually get together a few times a month, go down to the dragstrip, watch some races, have a few runs, etc. We usually do meet up in parking lots then convoy out to places. It's actually pretty cool.
