My First Car *Pics*

Hey, just got my first car. Im only 16 and have a crap job so you know

But, its not to bad.. Its a toyota corolla fxgt 1990..
Im planning on doing it up, maybe do a few mods (opinions anyone?)

Heres a few pictures, take note that i had a small accident a few weeks ago so the rear bumper is really wasted, but getting replaced.
Any tips on getting rid of scratches, dents, etc?
( Im a real noob )

Go the corolla!

Nice car dude.

Is that the model with the 4A-GE? I can't remember....

If so you will have fun with that.

Just clean her up a bit, get new mags if you want, it should look good.

Since your on a tight budge you might not want to get performance mods but if you do just get the usual, intake, extractors, exhaust.

Thanks dude

Im kind of New to cars etc, never took interest intill a month ago, so im not sure what that moden umber is for?

Yeah, when i bought it.. it had been lowered a little bit, which is guess some people class as cool but for me, when really short, only just 16 and insurance is a total night mare.. i hate how it keeps scratching along drive ways etc :P But anywayz, it has a sports exhaust at the momment..

Yeah, after i pay off $1550 to my parents ( a little car crash which they kindly paid for, but i must pay them back ) i will get into the heavy stuff like a paint job.. probably stick original and go with black as the paint job is really bad on the roof and bonnet, fairly faded all around with blotches.
And i need to pop a few dents in the door and get rid of chips, but not to sure of how to do this?

Thats a great first car. Theyre actually pretty rare. I dont EVER see them anywhere, even when Ive gone on trips to the West, and East Coast.

Well first things first....Im sure the performance is good for now...It looks like it needs a new paint job though. So thats what Id get done first off. Then start on the engine mods. Intake, header, exhaust, intercooled turbo setup, etc.

Have fun with it!

you could use touch up paint for a small scratch but it depends on how deep it is. If youve never done it before its hard to get it to look good.

If its tiny scatches your talking about, Polishing Compound does the trick.

Theres different way of taking away those ugly scratches. Polishing compound or some touch up paint will work just make sure the areas clean. As for dents some of them can be tapped out with a simple hammer and it also depends on where they are and what it's gonna take to get to them.

..I can't get my mind fully wrapped around the amount of rage I would be experiencing if I ever caught someone damaging/vandalizing/stealing my car. I would probably black out and have to claim temporary insanity at the murder trial.
