2004 Gran Prix GT Question?

I have the Gas Cap Off message showing on my dash display. I checked the Gas Cap and it's put on properly but it continues to show this message. Anyone have any ideas on why this is happening? There is no check engine light on either. It just says Gas Cap Off. Any ideas would be helpful and appreciated. Thanks

Get a new gas cap from any local parts store...can't be more than $15-$20.

2004 Gran Prix GT Question?

Thanks for the response. Now it leaves me to question, What could possibly go wrong with the cap to merit it needing a new one?

Are you turning it enough?

On my Honda and others I know, If the gas cap isn't screwed in until it clicks a few times the check engine light will come on.
