I am going to buy a 1994 firebird formula 350 6 speed. it has 97000 miles, and runs strong, has ac. Does anyone know anything about these cars. I am buying it for 5000, does that sound like a decent amount. i want to know reliability of them and comon problems i would also like to know if it holds its value and im not to sure about the performance but everything seems to be stock. And any info would be nice!! thanx

5000 is a little much, but it is a nice car with power. I would have bought it if I found it first for as much as 4000. The ac still works, whoever owned the car took care of it. I say go for it and keep the rubber down.

Im going to agree with chris_knows on this one. Starting at $4,500 was exactly what I was thinking. Work up from there. I would say $4,500-5,000 is a reasonable price. The only problem Ive really seen with this particular year of Firebird is that the starter likes to go out for some odd reason unknown to man

Ya that sounds like a good idea. I'm supposed to meet him around 1 today and i think i'll start at 4,500 and work up. I noticed when we drove it the starter did seem weak, but it was still working.

- yeah definitly check the blue book value 1st...
FYI
you can detail the specs- but kbb for 94 pontiac firebird formula 6spd w/ 97K mi- from private party in "good" condition is about $3825- closer to $4K even if its in "Excellent" condition

so i would barter a bit with that price- good luck

Hey i bought the car monday. I ended up payin him 5000 but he said there was no way hed take 4500. The car is awsome I love it. bad thing is insurence. Full coverage is 1,200 every 6 months for me and i dont think i could get liability because of the loan on it. everything on the car seems to work perfect, exept the starter seems a little week so i'll probly end up replacing it pretty soon.

K i got a ? now. There is 2 relays missing on my car. One of them says ACS/TCS and im thinking that is the traction control but im not sure. The other one is the FOG LIGHTS, the fuse is also missing for this one. Now i thought that every firebird had fog lights, but mine has a plastic peice the same color as the car, and i took it out and there doesnt seem to be any trace of a light being there at any time. If anyone knows anything about these than can you please tell me. If you know the price of these relays that would be awsome to!
