The RSX-S by a hair. But the Prelude handles SLIGHTLY better.

The RSX, it's a nice car, but they would come in pretty close...

The RSX is no doubt a slightly better car, mostly because it's a new car, whereas Preludes were last made what, 7 years ago? However, I do love Preludes and would probably by one over an RSX cause its cheaper. I really think Honda should bring back a sporty coupe and call it the Prelude, but of course they got the new Civic Si which kinda takes its place.

The Prelude was supposed to always be a bigger better handling car than the Civic. The PRelude VTEC (92-96) and all PReludes from 97-01 were basically the best handling cars in Honda's history at those times (less the ITR and NSX).

Preludes are just awesome. I agree they should bring it back, but give it like 250 horses instead of the 200 it left with, then it'll still stay above the civic.

The thing is Honda has no plans on bringing back a Prelude. They gave the Accord coupe a six speed manual and high hp V6 and called it the Prelude replacement. I wouldn't argue against it too much now that they also offer the HFP kit for them to add very good handling to it. Plus now the 2006 V6 model has about 260hp (on the old SAE standard).

Pretty spiffy IMO.

The HFP package comes with a new suspension setup, wheels/tires, body kit, spoiler and some interior accents in basic.

I know they're not bringing it back, just saying it would be awesome if they did. The new 6spd V6 accord is nice, but in my opinion the looks are no match against a prelude.

the rsx is alot faster than the prelude. the prelude is heavier than the rsx and has less horsepower. it has maybe 140 tops where the rsx type s has 210. the best one would be the rsx. it would even beat my boy's integra gsr and no prelude around here can hang with thatand it's stock.

sorry to bring in 2 new cars but i didn't want to start a new thread for another which is better, but if someone can inform me which is better the lancer evo or the subaru wrx, and why. I've seen the specs and the wrx has more horsepower more torque and a bigger engine by .5 liters, but my friend is conviced the evo is better and I don't exactly disagree with him. so if someone can inform me on that it would be great thanks. and sorry again for the 2 car subject change

So you're comparing a Prelude S from 92-96 against the RSX-S? Kind of unfair. That's the lowest mdoel Prelude. The PRelude VTEC from 92-96 had 190hp and the PRelude from 97-01 all had either 195hp or 200hp). Thoise are much more fair comparisons. In a straight line the RSX-S should be a LITTLE quicker, but a PRelude VTEC or Prelude from 97-01 will outhandle it.
