Exclamation Need Help With 94 Civic Manual Tranny??

The previous owner of my 94 civic hatch with b16a swap told me he used 5w30 motor oil instead of transmission oil. I need to change her fluids before I leave and I was wondering if this was okay, swapping oils. Will this harm my tranny?? Should I go back to using transmission oil?? Wht oil do you guys recommend?? Thanks in advance for all your help.

here is the deal. you need to look for the specs on your tranny. do a search for it on the internet and it will tell you what you need. i would suggest using dextron 3 transmission fluid. use a name brand. the name brands are usually more refined and last longer than the store brand.
