It's a hybrid engine .... half rotary, half reciprocating piston .... not quite as eco friendly as the other hybrids out at the moment, but meh........

PS: I don't want to start a debate about the eco-friendliness of electric cars that indirectly require the burning of fossil fuels to power them - let's just assume they all run off hydro-electricity or wind power.

actually. it's got pistons in a a rotary-style chamber. there are no cylinders, it just flings the pistons around wherever. it works on the FM theory of operation...
