Possible to swap composite for dual headlamps?

Hi all, I jave a 1987 olds Cutlass Ciera, 4 dr, 4 cyl. I have seen other cars that are 87's as well only that they have the composite (euro look) headlamps, where as mine has TWO individual headlamps seperated by a thin piece of plastic i think between each lamp on either side of the car.

I was wondering if it was possible to just find the composite lamps and simply bolt them on where my regular lights are? Any thoughts on why some 87's have the other type of headlamps instead of the dualies like mine? Thank in advance.

P.S. would i need to replace the grill as well? Cheers.
