paint jobs

do you guys know when you get a paint job if they sand off the rough spots from rust so you get a smooth paint job. also do they take out small dents and scratches

It would probably depend on who is doing it, and if you pay for it...I'm pretty sure Maaco fixes up dents and scratches (not sure about rust)...but Maaco might not be the best way to go

Maaco definitely sucks. Don't go there just because they are cheaper. Its better if you pay a bit more and get a quality job. The are very halfassed, sometimes you find places that aren't as nicely finished as other parts.

I will pay 1000 for the paint job if its good and will last a long time, I was just wondering if it cost extra or do they take the rust off and fix small dents. Maybe it all depends on the painter my moms friend knows someone who owns a business that paints cars so maybe i'll check there.
