Help me choose a car guys!

Hey guys, I thought I could come to you for your opinion. Yes, I know, I should only go with my opinion, but I just want to see what you guys would say. Ok, so anyways, my dad is getting a new car, he wants to stay below 25k used of course. Now I have been looking for him, and out of these cars, what would YOU personally pick and why? Porsche Boxter, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, Nissan 350z, Honda S2000, BMW Z3, and I think that is it. Anyways, what would you guys pick! I am just curious, I just want to know what others think is cool. We are gonna go and test drive them all or some next weekend. They all have their advantages, but I just want to know what you think. Or if you can think of a better car in your opinion, that I could possibly check out for my father, what would it be? under 25k used of course....

Thanks guys,
Anohaakten

me, personally... probably the evo, but ONLY because it has 4 doors. doesnt seem like that's a concern to your and your father, since it's the only car with four doors in a group of five cars.

of the two door cars, i'd get the 350z, but that's only because i want a hardtop car. so again, if that's not important to your dad, that doesnt directly help him either.

in order to truely help you out, i (we, i guess) need to know a few things. what's most important to him? social appeal? handling? flat out speed?

I've always liked the BMW z3 convertible, for it's looks and handling.

Where do you plan on getting a Boxster for -$25,000?...
Is this for a daily driver?...
From your list, I'd take the Evo, good handling, but why not an Impreza?

Or if you want new, an RSX-S, or Civic Si...that's what I'd take

Ok, Ill start off with what is most important to him? Basically, he wants a smaller car, that handles well, with pretty good acceleration. My mother has a TrailBlazer and lugs most of us around, with its plentiful amount of room. My dad basically wants a good looking, sporty car, that handles well with some kick to it. That is why I did not mention the Mazda Miata. I am not gonna hate on it, because as I have read you can mod that beast out and make it an insane piece of work. But we do not plan on doing that. Basically, decently fast, good looks, unique, and NICE handling. Handling being the most important to my father.
Next, yes you can find a Porsche Boxster for under 25,000, try autotradering that. Yes, It would be a daily driver. STi imprezas or w/e are are extremely hard to find for under 25k or even 30k.
Thanks again guys!

A 2003 Subaru Impreza WRX goes for $24,000...not the STi though

The Porsche would have several other problems (i.e. Gas, insurance, repair costs, etc...)

Why would I get a WRX instead of a Evo......
Anyways, You are right, the Porsche would be very expensive but you could say you drive a Porsche, which would just be badass.... Amongst the highest quality cars you can buy!!!!

i found a fair amount of sti's under $25k on autotrader, and cars.com.

i still may have to go with the nissan given what you've said. it may be a bit more pigish (3600lbs) then the others, but it'll still be a fun car to drive.

and the miata... you can get a brand NEW miata (and not one with lower hp then top models) for under $25k.

WRX doesn't, you must be thinking of the STI. But either way, the Evo runs faster 1/4s and they both handle amazing.

Yeah, I was thinking of the STi, the WRX is about 230 hp...so about 40 under the Lancer...depending on which one.

personally

Id go with an s2000 among the ones you picked out.

But under 25k used I would pick up a CamaroSS around a 2000 model
of course if you wann go old school Id suggest an Amc Hornet.

I'm with Pik_d...isn't it just for the 2006, ass-ugly STI's, made by GM?

I was referring to a 2003...
