'YOUR' Choice of 'car' of the year,(2005)

What car has made you dribble this year? For me 2005 has been a great year for new exciting cars!

One of my Favourite cars has to be the new bugatti Veyron. the 1001bhp, 252mph, 8.0 super car costing 850,000 is amazing!

Brabus have also done some crazy things this year. Such as the CLS ROCKET. The record braking EV12 and the fantastic tuning programme for the new ML and S-class.

So for me the car of the year is the BRABUS EV12, because i think brabus are getting better ALL the time every year.

So. What is your car of the year (2005), and why??

He does have a Neon...his favourite daily driver would be the SRT-4...

For me...this year, I have to say the Skyline GT-R, which should be coming to North America 2007/8, and the Civic Si...they finally made a Civic with over 200 horsepower

oops...need to check my dates prior to posting.

anyways, i would go for the SAAB 9-3 Sport Combi. i've always liked saabs, and i've always liked hatchbacks, so a saab hatcback with a 250hp turbo v-6 is just dead sexy.

the veyron...eh, to me that's like the McLaren F1. it's fast and cool, but i just don't really care. i'll never be able to own one, and even if i could afford it i wouldn't buy it because i would be able to use it on a daily basis. it's just too much.

It's gotta be the Mustang GT. Redesigned for 2005, 13 second car bone stock, and $25K if I'm not mistaken.

I'm going hard with Commander here - took Jeep in a new (bigger) direction and stayed true to what makes a Jeep and Jeep. Good mix of new (hemi with good mileage) and old (styling, saddlebag seats, etc). So many car makers go in a new direction and totally leave behind their consumers - now if they'd just put some of their sweet concepts into production I'd be a happy person.

I also like the BMW 5 series, not as impressed sytlistically with the 7 series, not sure why.... The new 7s are obviously nice, but they don't scream I'm the Latest BMW - the 5s are more the car you catch out of the corner of your eye and thing "Wow" imo.

For up and coming, I like the new Audi A4 - bigger engine... Mistubishi Eclipse will be good too, not to expensive and 270 hp

Infiniti M series damn quick nice cars. Little harsh on the ride if you opt for the sport though. Best 5 series alternative if you ask me.

Isnt the Ferrari FXX not actually a new car but rather a tuned Enzo? In which case...it's not really a new car but a release of a tuned car?

dude that's such a freakin cop-out! nominating super cars is like picking which super-model is hottest. it's just dumb.

that, and the FXX is one of the ugliest cars i have ever had the displeasure of setting my eyes upon.

Ditto man...the fastest car is not necessarily the best. How practical is a FXX? I mean I would say the car of the year would have to be both practical, fast, functional, and defnitely the leader in it's class or if it made a new class...then that would also make it the leader.

I stand by my bid for the C6 Chevy Corvette ZO6. It is blowing away cars twice as much and kills practically almost anything stock out on the road.

It handles well, has I think more room than the previous gen, yet still only weighes 3100 lbs or so. It's hard nowadays to get light cars but 3100 lbs is pretty light for a car considering we get lots that are heavier.
