Sorry, no pics at the moment though...I'm also not sure on your theory about Bump starting, I've done it numerous times on numerous cars, old and new, with no problems

Oh yeah...and I'm against Boy Racers, too lol...

It can sometimes cause a problem if too much fuel is pumped through... but petrol in your cat can cause the honeycomb to break apart... i guess it must be down to luck...

the silly tsw reflex ally's make mine look like a boy racers car i know, hopefully they will be gone and ill have some nice wolfrace yakuza's on their soon!!!

Mine is the 1.8 driver, damn thing is only missing the discs at the rear and the MPI the gti has, if it had those it would be the gti, damn vw!!!

Mine has 110,000 miles and the engine is still going strong, but i need uprated dampers.

I wasn't having a dig at you being a Boy Racer lol...I was agreeing with you when you said about not sticking Body Kits and spoilers (wings if you are a USAer lol).

I think the Driver was VW's way of making a 'warm' hatch...ie; for those who couldn't afford a GTI when they were new lol (You didn't buy yours new, did you? lol). 110,000miles is nothing though

The MK3 GTI wasn't that great anyway, you're probably better off with the Driver!

There's a difference between wings and spoilers...someone explained it to me, but I didn't get it

Spiler has a purpose while a wing is just a riceholder.

Umm, no.

A spoiler is attached to the body along it's leading edge, and a wing is separated. A spoiler is designed to reattach laminar airflow and reduce drag AND reduce lift, while a wing is designed to sit in cleaner air to provide downforce.

The rear of my RX7 had a spoiler:

While the NSX and F-40 here have wings. Wings, especially adjustible ones, have definite purpose.

The usage of the term "wing" that is different for the US and UK is that in the UK, "wing" is the term for what the US calls a "fender." For example, this is a picture of a Porsche 911 front wing in the UK...

We would call that a front fender.
