1970 Ford 390 Specs

I just picked up a 1970 Ford Galaxie Country sedan (wagon) with a 390 4v. I am having a difficult time finding stock engine specs. If somebody knows the hp/torque rating, compression and cam specs I would appreciate it.

On the internet it looks like it could have 315 hp with a 10.5 compression but that seems high.

Thanks
Karl

Full size Fords with 390's only came from the factory with 2v carburetors from '68-71. If you have a 4v carb, something has been changed along the way.

EDIT: Except for cop cars.

I thought it might go some way to giving him an idea what the 4V power figure was, so he could sleep tonight warm in the knowledge.

I suppose I could have googled and found something like this, but I guess he could have done that too.

Yeah, but... We don't know for sure what he has for an engine because it didn't come that way from the factory. For all we know it's not een a 390. It wouldn't be the first time I've seen that.

What you mean that a member may not give a full and accurate account of the facts? Surely not.
