I think it's pretty sweet, but still just looks like a Liberty with a new bumper...

I've been checking out pics of the Compass - it's ok, I think it will fill a market segment for Jeep in that it's a good option for people who want a mid-sized Jeep and don't care about trail ratings, probably won't appeal much to hard core Jeep fans.

Though, the hard core gang can take the 2007 Wrangler - anyone seen that yet? Not too many changes to the old boy - it will make the Jeep crowd happy. There are lights in the bumpers - probably just for the Auto Show hype, extended front flares, solid interior... All in all I like. Shouldn't be too $$ when it comes out either, the top of the line Rubicon is not even $30k.

I saw the Commander concept years ago and I really like the way it rolled off the line - great boxy Jeep exterior and old school interior - I'm excited to see how these two turn out.

The Jeep Compass makes me want to puke. The front itself looks like a chipmunk with its cheeks stuffed with food. The design is like a large box with rounded corners. How the hell is that imaginative? I can see the designer sitting there and drawing a large rectangle and then rounding off the corners. After a total of 5 minutes of drawing straight lines and curves with his protractor, saying "perfecto" this is the best f'ing design I've ever seen!

I like it. It looks more like an upscale SUV than a Jeep.

Yeah, I'm more of an old school guy when it comes to Jeeps, so the boxy style of the commander is more my thing. Anyone else agree?

That Compass is pretty cool, though. I just need to read more about it.

Same here...I like the Commander, and some of the older ones, but not the CJ's...not a big fan of that.

Right on... I think it has the best of both worlds: pure old-school Jeep, but with some sweet modern features inside.

Saw this car at the autshow, liked it a lot better in person. Jeep had quite the display set up, got to ride around in a Commander on an off-road course - it handled it well, and took a hill better than a cherokee b/c of the shorter front overhang...

Here's a compass shot I took:

I quite like the look of it......not too sure about the front end though!
