installing remote start.

How does a remote start work?
easy to install?
I saw a probe the other day with the push button start the car feature set up.

Not sure how it works, but I've got a question to add to this, if starting a standard transmission car, do you leave the car out of gear?...Which you're not supposed to do lol...

Not totally sure how it works, I can try to look it up for you though. I know that once it's installed and you start the car with it, you have to put the key in the ignition and to the running position before you can actually drive it (friends car has a remote starter).

bad idea to try and install by yourself. pay a shop to do it, a lot less headache...especially if you don't install it correctly.

Isn't it a fairly simple starter solenoid hookup, with a key-bypass?
