Engine coding?

Thos of you who know me will know that if there's one hing that really baffles me is the coding used to describe engines. It's mainly in Japanese cars, but I'm sure you guys (mainly the Americans anyway lol) use them in relation to Domestics and classics, too.

To be honesest, the only coding we in the UK use to describe engines dates back to the early nineties and Peugeot's 'TU' engine lol. So, I was just wondering if you guys could find an easy way of explaining which codes relate to which engines. If ya cant find an easy way, I'll make do with the hard way, thanks

Hey Greek, do you realise Oomba just posted the most relevent thing in this topic......which technically speaking, makes him more intellligent than you lol. In other words, I'm guessing that your post was a mere decoy because you dont understand coding yourself....
