My new car

Well, I sold my Golf the other day to a collegue of mine. He paid 500 which I think was a reasonable price for a 1990 Golf with 89,000miles on her. I was sorry to see her go but I decided I needed a change, as my wife is due a reasonably large insurance pay-out within the next couple of months, so I wanted something to get me by till then. I was gonna use the whole 500 but decided, if I could, to spend as little as possible.

In the end, after a long day and a fair few miles, I found a man in Southampton, Hampshire, selling a 1990 Nissan Sunny. It's a 1.4litre and has had one owner from new. It's got a Full Service history with all old reciepts etc. It also has 6months Road Tax and a full years MoT on it. It cost me 395, which I think is quite a decent price. It has 113,000miles on it too, which seems quite high but isn't too bad as it looks and drives great. Oh, and the engine is chain driven so no Timing Belt to worry about either lol (I'm always afraid if a car's belt driven that I'll snap it and screw the engine up lol)

I personally like the way the hood comes down over the grill....i think it gives it a bit more agressive of a look

The good news is that overall, a Sunny (basically a Sentra to us in the US) is a decent car. The bad news is that the timing chains are only good for about 100-120k miles and then give up the ghost, taking out not only the valves (as in any interference engine) but also the cast aluminum timing cover. Good job.
