Refreshing Wheels?

Well my wheels on my Mustang aren't looking too great, such as on two of the center hub caps they are beginning to yellow a bit. Well I wanted to just refresh them a little bit, not refinish them because from what I know that means to dip them in Chrome which I do not want to do. Anyway I talked to a friend of mine he says you can just buy a spray can of whatever color you want from autozone or some automotive store and just tape up around the wheels and use that to refresh them. I do not have much money right now and am just looking for the cheapest way possible to reshresh my wheels and make them look a little bit better. I was wondering if anyone had any kind of suggestions or opinions on what I should do. EVENTUALLY I plan on buying different wheels, but that is aways down the road.

Im going to ask around. I want a high gloss black. Either really high gloss or a matte black finish. Would make the car look better. I think it would be around 200 professionally done. Just an op im going to ask around tomorrow.

I was looking at picking up something from autozone for cheap and just doing it myself, waiting to see what the "professionals" say though.
