Need help with my car audio system

I'm currently deciding on a car audio system for my 1982 Mercury Capri. So far I've chosen a Pioneer DEH-P4800MP deck with 1 MA Audio MA121XQ 12" 600W 4-Ohm Subwoofer, 2 Infinity Reference 6012i 6-1/2" 2-Way 180W Car Speakers and, Infinity Reference 9612i 6"x9" 2-Way 300W Car Speakers. I honestly don't know if the speakers are the right size but that's not what's important. What I need to know is what type of amp(s) I need, and what else I need i.e. wiring, sound dampening?

Well it depends, how many amps do you want to run?

Personally I would use either a 2-channel bridged or a mono-block amp to run the sub and a 4-channel amp to run the other 4 speakers

Wiriing, I would suggest just getting some 4 gauge or 2 guage wire to start, that way if you want more power you don't have to upgrade. Sound dampening is only needed if there is too much rattling going on. Personally I think its a waste of money, but other people love it, so its all up to you
