Ok, heres my problem...I got a thing in the mail about taking a Vehicle Emissions test in my state of Illinois. The problem is that they require vehicles from 1996 and up to pass an On-Board-Diagnostics Test. They apparently look at your dashboard, and if any engine problem lights light up, then you can't take the emissions test. I have an illuminated light stating "maintenance required". So this probably means I have to do an oil change. Will I be able to pass the OBD with this light on? If not, I went to MIDAS oil change and they said that the Honda dealers use a special key to reset the light, so will a normal oil change turn off teh light or not, or only a dealer one? My car is a 2002 Honda Crv. Sorry for a whole lot of questions...thanks in advance.
