Unhappy 1996 Ford Mustang Left Rear Speaker not working

1996 Ford Mustang
Left rear speaker does not work. Replaced with brand new speaker. Still does not work. Is it the wiring or my cd/radio? How do I rewire?

get a Volt/Ohm meter and test the wireing from the HU (CD receiver), to the SAME wire at the speaker. This should tell you if there is a break in the wire, if you get a reading its good. Then test the OTHER wire the same way. My guess is you have a break or short in one of those 2 wires. If the wires are bad, all you need to do is get some 18 or smaller AWG wire and follow the wire bach from the HU. No problem

Ya use an ohm meter... if you dont have one or know how to use it... just run a new wire and check it that way.
Had to do that with my breezes rear speakers
