German engines create the sweetest sounds you'll ever hear: any of the N/A Mercedes engines, the BMW I-6's, Audi's V6, and of course the Porsche Boxer-6.

IT actually only put out about 235hp, but still amazing. The F22C 2.2L version put out about 245-250hp.

The F20C redlined at 9000 but the rev limiter was set at 9500.

What about the LS1? They are very light, compact and makes that awesome noise and quite cheap for 400hp+. Reliable too I guess coming straight from the factory.

Or how about the Sukuzi Hayabusa, 180hp from 1.3l and screams to 11000rpm

Stock SRT-4 has been dynoed at 240+ horsepower I heard. So with a 2.4 liter engine, you have 100 Horsepower per liter.

Seeing my car has no overdrive, it gets a little tedious at 70+MPH (4000RPM). I was driving on the freeway to get my wheels, and hit 100 for a few seconds....RPM was 5500!!! Crazy shit.

Where are you getting this from? Are you talking about what they dyno at? Because the crank hp rating is 240 on the ap1 and ap2 untill 06 (or 05, i don't remember) where it dropped to 237 because of the new rating system.

just seems funny to me...when people get all worked up about reving and engine past 5 grand...its not that much dudes. I rev my car to 7.5 all the time...and I don't even consider it to be an extremely high reving car. Many hondas redline at 8k.

I think it's a thing about US cars lol....most of them seem to redline lower than other cars...

240whp is pushing it.

I've seen a lot of stock SRT-4 dynos and they all hit basically the advertised horsepower figure but at the wheels (230whp or so at best).

Here's a stock 03 SRT-4 dyno...

The 04/05 pulls about 5whp on average higher.

I'm talking from dynos of the F20C and F22C, one is slightly overrated from the factory (F20C) while the other is slightly underrated from the factory (F22C).

When dealing with Hondas I always go by dyno numbers, because most of the time they are underrated from the factory.

Alright, but it still didn't put out 235 horse power at the wheels stock. If it did, show me the dyno chart. Most ap2's dyno around 210-215whp stock.

The standard V8 in the holdens here is the mexican 6.0 litre L76. It seems like a nice motor for daily drive.

I didnt say it put out 235 horsepower at the wheels stock.

I said 235hp, which was meant to be taken as crank horsepower. HEnce why I said the stated horsepower figure given by Honda is slightly overrated.
