If by aftermarket parts you mean sweet double spoilers, neons, body kits, etc., you might have a point, although I've seen Mustangs w/ almost all of the above. As far as performance parts, the Mustang has the eclipse beat by a longshot.

The "Stang" will carve a corner better than a stock 99 Eclipse GS. Eclipses aren't great handling cars, and Mustang GT's aren't terrible.

You need to SSB.

I had a feeling you played GT4.

GT4 is very inaccurate and biased.

Perhaps this will shed light on reliability:
http://www.consumeraffairs.com/news0...car_picks.html

But I dont want to get involved in this. I said these exact same things exactly 2 years ago and ended up on probation, so, I am going to try to not involve myself this time. Lol..

Too bad both cars being mentioned in this thread are American cars. That article has no bearing on this conversation.

Besides, Mitsubishi, Mazda, and Kia are definitely not known for their reliability

where is youre supporting evidence. I love american cars but the japanese manufacturers do make some very reliable vehicles. My uncle has a Toyota that he bought used at 100k miles in '92. Its over 300k now and still running smooth. I think that with most cars, the longevity of the car depends on how one drives it/cares for it.
