Yeah I would have said something like: "I was driving around and came across it and I asked about it. It was a little old lady who had it and it was her husbands until he passed away, she didn't know the value of it or anything and just wanted to clear up some space"

oh, i pm him about the other car i found in the barn, it belonged to their other son who went missing 5 years ago due to embarrassment of being caught driving a neon...i started to offer them money for it but they just wanted the p.o.s out of the yard...heres the pics....
