Question 1998 Camry Cruise Control Actuator Removal/Replacement

Ok, long story short -- I'm troubleshooting an ignition problem with my 1998 camry, and I've chased it down to somewhere around the starter. To take the next steps, the Clifton guide says to disconnect and remove the cruise control actuator. However, nowhere in the Clifton guide, Haynes guide, or anywhere online can I find the steps to actually DO that removal Some sites online suggest its a vacuum-based actuation system, but I don't know that for sure. Has anybody had to do this on a Camry, and can anyone give me some pointers? TIA...
