Question does Toyota use GM parts?

Anybody know if Toyota uses GM parts for its 2004 Corolla? What about the brake pawl? In an automatic, would this part be a brake pawl or a parking pawl?

GM and Toyota have a joint manufacturing facility in Frement, CA. Because of that there are most certainly parts shared by them in some models although I wouldn't call them a GM part. So the answer is probably.

Correction, I meant to say possibly.

Correction, I meant to say possibly.

I would be willing to say that most likely gm and toyota share parts, or integrate good working parts from other vehicles either from toyota onto gm, or off of gm onto toyota.

Thanks

Thanks for the help. I heard that GM had made some defective brake pawls and I wondered if those parts were also used in the 2004 Toyota Corolla. Now I know where to start. Appreciate it.

Why not just start by looking at recalls concerning your vehicle. So much easier and if the problem exists, alot less time.

Question of the day. How and why do you pimp slap yourself. Save it for the Nazi.

So is a "smake" like a light duty smack?
