dex-cool is crap anyway.what were they thinking. dumbest thing i heard today was, "so when should i check my coolant" i said whenever you check your oil(at the gas pump) and she said "so once a year" she wasn't dumb.... just ignorant and then proceeded to drill me on why it needs to be checked.

1) "So its got one of them helicopter motors in it?"
2) me: "87 rx7"
autozone: "you mean xr7?"
me: "no rx7"
autozone: "like the mercury or whatever xr7?"
me: "no! the rotary one!"
autozone: "oh so you want a rotor cap then! you want wires and plugs too?"
me: "
3) "dont do that! you'll blow a head gasket!" (i dont have one)
4) "the car doesnt start. i think its the gas tank leaking" (had no battery and was flooded)
5) "you have to change the filter too? seriously? how often? like 50K or something?"
6) idiot: "you should turbo that thing!" (with hood open!!!!)
me: "it is"
7) guy: "you've never change the timing belt? you should do that!"
me: "doesnt have one"
guy: "it has to! ive been working on cars for 15 years, i know what i mean"
me: "me too. it doesnt have one"
8) "...and thats why you dont go off roading in a Porsche"
9) "umm...tim. is that crack in my glovebox?" (long story, yes there turned out to be crack in my glove box)
10) "that reminds me of something, but i cant remember what it is"

Personally to pull a 180 degree turn, I think one of the best movie lines about a car I have heard has been, "Dude, open the door, I don't want to get daewoo on my hands!"

You're both babling idiots. If I were to say "I need a new car, its green". Would that imply that the new car I want should be green or that my current car somehow turned green? Instead of trying to cover up for his stupidity with your own maybe you should have resisted the urge to say anything... Then again that tends be common upon obtuse people. They want everyone to know just how deep they are by opening their mouths...

A blond walks into an auto parts store and asks the clerk if they have any "710" caps. The clerk replies "a what?" The blond replies "A 710 cap. It goes on the engine." The clerk asks her to draw a picture of it. So she makes a circle with 710 written in the middle. Turn the paper upside down and 710=OIL.

I probably screwed the joke up, but hey whatever's clever

supidest

I had some dude come up to look at my 67 mustang for sale one time and he brings over this "mustang expert" and he says "must not be a very good car huh?" (first thing he says without even looking at anything????) and I go oh yeah, how can you tell that? Well, I'm a mustang expert he says and I haven't seen this car around before?

I lose it on the guy and tell em you know what, i've only driven this car every single day from may to november, entered it every mustang show there ever was for the past 8 years, won trophies with it and drive it regularly and you haven't seen it? and you're a mustang expert? Go shove your ass back up your toyota and don't ever tell anyone you're an expert on mustangs as I'll put my horseshoes on and kick your ass so hard people will think you got stampeded by mustangs. Now that's the stupidest idiot I've ever dealt with or heard from (not a very good car cause someone hasn't seen it???? how bloody idiotic is that???) (oh by the way, didn't sell it

SO the other day, I dealt with this guy who was fervently defending the fact that indeed there were 4 generations of the RX-7 .
His logic:
Gen 1 from 72 -86
Gen 2 from 86-90
Gen 3 from 90-95 (in his world this gen mixed the FC and FD)
Gen 4 from 95-up

Reality:
Gen 1 79-85
Gen 2 86-92
Gen 3 93-up

He also Was trying to convince me that the gen 4 rx-7 only came with single turbos.

Heh...

Lancia had a whole series of V4 engines, from the '30s to the '70s in sedans and sports cars.

Ford designed a V4 in their European Corsair and Taunus (no, not Taurus) in the early '60s, that was then put into the Capri and a few other cars.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=ford+V4

SAAB used the Ford V4 in the 95, 96, and Sonnett models in the late '60s and early '70s.

A number of smaller car builders also used the Ford V4, like Marcos.

Of course, there are some V4 motorcycles, and VW has a V5 (basically a short version of the VR6). Yes, all modern 4 cyl cars are I4s, not V4s, but V4s existed and were in production for decades.
