Welcome to the Forums, Barree

Check out like howstuffworks.com for how cars work...For an intercooler and BOV you'll need a turbocharger/supercharger to get any power from them...A cannon exhaust won't help power either...Why not get an exhaust that helps flow, like a turbo exhaust...

Then get a real performance exhaust system. (Borla, Magnaflow, etc.) Cannons do virtually nothing other than make noise and look disproportionate.

Ask around the Mazda forums. If I recall correctly the throttle body is a dual plate jobbie and not all that flash when it comes to restriction (a ford 64mm might be the go). Look at simple things like dump pipe and flywheel. The CAI stuff guys will recommend is mostly bullshit. Start saving for a third party ECU, because that is where you will get the most gains.
